Talese S. (scarf made by Pat H.)

Talese proudly showed the scarf that Pat H. made for her.

The scarf was a thank you for a bunch of fabric scraps Talese gave Pat.

Judy G. (raw edged big flowers)

Judy G. shows a quilt she made from abandoned blocks.

They were made with raw edge applique and hand button hole stitch.

Blocks may have been made in the 1980s.

Maggie S. (Carol Doak wall hangings)

Maggie S. showed a wall hanging she made from the Carol Doak class.

She joined the Carol Doak yahoo group and this was made
from a block pattern that she got from the online group.

ICS 2009 Challenge

The ICS 2009 Guild Challenge was to create a landscape quilt, any size.

We voted during the Project Linus work night. There were 6 entries.

Jef is holding up one of the entries. They were displayed on the stage.



They came in differnent sizes.

It was a very productive evening, thank you ladies!

Phyllis N. is sewing on a binding.

Cheri S. is ironing.

More ladies working productively.

Dixie is cutting fabric.

Kris G. (leftover fabric quilt)

Kris G. had a friend who remodeled her sewing room.
She and 6 friends got together and each made this pattern
with leftover fabric from the remodeled sewing room.
Kris quilted it with a Baptist fan pattern by machine.

Kim Ly. (Camp Coco panel quilt)

Kim Ly. with some help from her grandson,

added borders and quilted this panel she got for Camp Coco.

LynnEl S. (table topper present and granddaughter)

LynnEl showed a table topper she was given by a lady from Canada
in the Carol Doak Yahoo group swap. They met on a cruise.

She also had a tell, her daughter had a baby in December in Idaho

Pam C. (baby giraffe quilt)

Pam C. showed a quilt she made for her gandson
scheduled to be born January 29th.
Molly B. quilted it.

Judy G. (wild quilt and Ta-Da Triangles)

Judy G. showed her quilt top with wild fabric.

Her son thinks it is ugly fabric.

Judy also showed a quilt from Fons and Porter.

She made the half square triangles with Ta-Da Triangles.

Barb S., cherry roll leaf wall hanging

Barb S. showed her Cherrywood leaf wall hanging.

It was made from "cherry rolls" using their pattern
designed for that specific cherry roll.

Sherri K., Nieces colored blocks and UFO and boutique contribution

Sherri K. had her nieces color blocks
so she could say they started quilting at age 2.

Sherri also displayed her 2004 UFO being finished and
some towels she finished for the 2011 quilt show boutique.

Debbie L. (Christmas present, grandkids table topper)

Debbie L. showed a Christmas present for her grandchildren's mother.

The grandchildren colored and embroidered the blocks and Debbie just finished it today.

Judy P. was our Quilter of the Month for January 2010.

She showed her beautiful quilts, one was from one of our guild classes.
