Maurine S.'s Hummel embroidery

Maurine S. shows a small wall hanging
which has 3 Hummel embroidery designs.
This was made for a minister's wife diagnosed with Lupus. The two with the umbrellas are for the down days and the one in the middle is for the good days.

to which she added some lace and the backing fabric.

It was a Lori Smith Pattern.


She mentioned that she had just gotten the sashing strips.
She certainly didn't let this project age before construction.

She used fabric bough in Africa.One Quillow pocket has a plane, the other has a boat.

What is a quillow, you ask.
It is a quilt that folds up into a pocket becoming a pillow.
The picture below shows one of the quillows unfolded.
