Shirley O'R. (Quilter of the Month)

Shirley O'R. was our Quilter of the Month.
She showed some of her wonderful quilts and her pictures of some of the quilts she has given away.

Pat H. (black and white and green)

Pat H. used the 5" squares from the black and white swap (currently in progress) and made this quilt as a gift for her granddaughter.

The famous granddaughter who is in the newspaper.

Carol W. (3 quilts, new member)

Carol W. (new member tonight, Welcome!)
Moving from New York, she had some quilts to show tonight.
This quilt features elephant fabric and she started it in a workshop with Mary Kay Ryan (of Vermont Quilt Show fame).

She found these pieces in an old trunk
from her husband's grandparent's generation.

In 1999 she visited Australia and bought aboriginal-designed fabric.
She designed this quilt and quilted it using metalic thread and beading.

The back of this quilt has pictures from her trip.

Alice Mc. (Candy is Dandy)

Alice Mc. used the pattern, "Candy is Dandy"
to make this quilt. It will be for
a great granddaughter's first communion.

Here's a closeup of the back to see the quilting done by Molly B.

Mary Cr. (baby quilt and wall hanging)

Sorry it is sideways, I forget how to turn it.
This shows Mary Cr.'s baby quilt and
spring wall hanging that are done ahead of time!

Debbie Der. (embroidered cars)

Debbie Der. pieced and quilted the
embroidered cars blocks that her mom made.

Here is a closeup of some of the embroidered cars.

Whizzie E. (necktie bag)

Whizzie E. showed a bag made from neckties
that was given to her by a puppy dog's Mom down in Florida.

Bev H. (Christmas Table Runner)

Bev H. found this in the bottom of her closet and finshed it.
It is a Chrismas table runner.

Molly B. and Daughter (Bazaar donations)

Molly Black and her daughter donated to the Bazaar.
They made pincushions in flower pots.

And Molly made some
heart-shaped placemats with leftover scraps.
